Since 2022, AFEW’s Past President #8 Lourdes Domingo expressed her personal commitment to recognize, elevate and empower the achievements and aspirations of women engineers.
Together with her friends, PP Lou Domingo manifested her call for radical generosity through launching the “Inhinyerang Iskolar" Award-- with the noble objective of inspiring and giving recognition to female students currently pursuing and excelling in the engineering field, demonstrating strong values of resilience, high integrity, professionalism and leadership.
I am applying for a scholarship because I know it will be a vital support in helping me pursue my education. I chose to take Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering because I genuinely believe it offers a wide range of career opportunities in the future. This scholarship would not only lessen our financial hardship but also give me the strength and hope to continue striving in my education despite the challenges life has given us. I am determined to work hard and make the most of every opportunity, not just for myself, but also for my family who has been through so much.
“As a mechanical engineering major, I am deeply passionate about the role engineers play in solving global challenges. My career goal is to work in the renewable energy sector, contributing to the development of sustainable technologies that address our world's growing energy demands.”
