Apply for the 2026 Inhinyerang Iskolar Award

An Educational Sponsorship Grant from the Puyallup Tribe of Indians for the year 2026!

Launched in 2022 through the personal commitment and "radical generosity" of AFEW Past President #8 Lourdes Domingo and her close peers, the Inhinyerang Iskolar Award specifically honors female engineering students, who are residents of Washington State, and who excel in the classroom while embodying the spirit of resilience, high integrity, professionalism, and leadership.

Are you eligible? Are you ready to apply? Please complete and submit the following to afewcares@gmail.com:

Be a female college student and a current resident of Washington State.
Be currently enrolled in a university STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) program. Please provide proof of enrollment.
Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of a 4.0 Scale or equivalent. Verification will be required.
Submit a compelling 500-word essay responding to the following prompt: "The Inhinyerang Iskolar Award is born from a commitment to elevate and empower female engineers who demonstrate exceptional leadership and strong values What inspired you to pursue engineering, and how do you envision your future contributions elevating the field? Please highlight how the core values of resilience, integrity, and professionalism guide your current achievements and future aspirations."

While not required, we also welcome optional letters of recommendation that can further highlight your qualifications and potential.

The awardee will be given recognition at AFEW's 33rd Anniversary Gala celebration on October 10th, 2026 at the Muckleshoot Casino and Events Center in Auburn! Don't miss this incredible opportunity to invest in your future. The deadline for applications is August 30th.
