Good day everyone! I hope you are all doing well. I just claimed my grant under your scholarship program which I am very thankful for. This will help me a lot in my study as well as our day-to-day expenses at home. This is our second semester for this academic year and I am already in the third of the four years of my degree program. Next semester will be the semester for my internship and I hope I would do well. I am hoping that you will continue to be a blessing to other people and I salute you all for all your efforts and hard work. Always know that you are one of the reasons why I am doing my best in my academic journey.

Stay safe everyone. God bless us all!

Best,

Franklin

Anna is in her senior year at Seattle University, majoring in Electrical Engineering and minoring in Mathematics. Anna is a 2014 graduate from Moanalua High School. She graduated as a Summa Cum Laude, ending her high school career with a cumulative GPA of 3.98. In college, she continues to extend herself to many different communities. She is the Recording Secretary of the Seattle University chapter of IEEE Eta Kappa Nu Honor Society where only the students with the highest GPAs of the Electrical engineering department of each college are invited. In addition, she is also a student leader for InterVarsity (IV) Christian Fellowship. This position has allowed her to plant multiple ministries on campus, reaching out to the students who are often marginalized or forgotten. This past summer, she was an Electrical Engineering Intern at InSynergy Engineering, Inc.. one of Hawaii's top engineering consulting firms. After graduation, she wants to bring 'light' into the world as an Electrical Engineer. As an AFEW Scholar, she will continue to be someone who willingly puts others before themselves, works hard in everything that they do, and embraces and lives out their Filipino identity in ways where the Filipino Community can be represented well and respected.
